The Bridgewood elders have decided on two groups that the Bridgewood congregation is encouraged to make donations to. The New Road Church of Christ and the Disaster Relief Fund are both reliable groups that are getting money where it needs to be. Members are encouraged to give cash donations as the West community has been overwhelmed by donations of physical items. CBS11 ran this story about the overwhelming generosity of physical items being donated.
We have worked with groups like the Disaster Relief Fund in previous efforts. They need cash on hand to buy tools and supplies for rebuilding efforts. They also make cash distributions to immediately assist families. The New Road church will be doing the same with funds that they are given. There is a large amount of work to be helped with.
